What this site is
RedundancyCalculator.ie works out statutory redundancy for Irish employees: two weeks’ pay per year of service plus one bonus week, with weekly pay capped at €600, tax-free. The guides explain redundancy rights and how ex-gratia payments are taxed.
It was built because people facing redundancy need their number before the meeting, without wading through legislation.
Where the data comes from
The formula comes from the Redundancy Payments Acts, cross-checked against gov.ie and citizensinformation.ie.
How it stays accurate
The statutory formula changes rarely. When caps or rules move, the calculator and its automated tests are updated together, so the maths cannot silently drift.

RedundancyCalculator.ie is a personal project, built and maintained by an independent web developer. It is free to use and not affiliated with any government body or official organisation.
